ARTISTIC PROJECTS

From time to time we get the creative customer that has an idea and wants to turn it into reality.

TOPOGRAPHICAL MAPS We have manufactured a number of these maps of the Rotorua lakes district for display purposes and for tourist attraction maps. Constructed out of layers of polystyrene sheets and skinned with epoxy make a light weight but rigid article that can be easily transported and displayed The vertical scale of the map had to be up to 3 times the area scale in order to obtain enough relief.

MARGARINE SCULPTURES A Customer came to us and asked if we can fibreglass over margarine and if so could we fibreglass 3 margarine sculptures for his Day-care Center playground. The result was very successful and rather stunning

Jeff, the creative member of our team has had a great deal of experience in the film and theater industry creating all sort of really interesting faces and masks and can turn his hand to just about anything.

CLAY SCULPTURES Like the Margarine, fibreglass over clay to produce a mould is very successful. After moulding, the fibreglass is cut off the clay and and re joined.
